The Warsaw Rising was an armed struggle by the Polish resistance group (Home Army) in an attempt to liberate Warsaw from the Nazi's. This museum is all about this resistance group and their day to day struggle to try and rid their city from the Nazi's. Amazingly most of these resistance fighters were 20 years old or younger.
The museum has life size objects such as a plane and reconstructed sewers (which were used frequently as a means of escape). It has real objects such as armbands, guns, and printing presses. It also has photographs, original letters, audio and video footage. It has tons of things to see. Count on spending at least 2 hours to see everything.
We visited this museum and loved it !!!!! It is considered to by one of the best museums in Poland according to Fodor's. It is well worth the visit.
