Kit up and dive
Reviewed by A TripAdvisor Member on Sep 14, 2008

If you're visiting St Lucia then you should feel really confident diving with this outfit based just north of Rodney Bay. Steve and Shirley run a very well managed dive operation and "Captain" Theo and Al are great guys - friendly and knowledgable. The dive boat is well planned with easy access and the southern dive sites worthy of the journey as they are varied with good corals. An additional, larger boat is also about to be commissioned. Don't miss Superman's Flight - a great drift dive and the MV Lesleen M wreck dive. There are some very pretty shallow dives and the sea life was above average - turtles and sea horses. Viz is typically good - 20metres plus. Overall - highly recommended. ps - if you're a dog lover then you'll really appreciate the way Shirley has "adopted" a bunch of stray pooches. Pity more people in Caribbean don't follow her lead.

Great Diving

Hi Steve & Shirley I must say thanks from both of us for a fantastic time we had diving with your team. Craig and I where on a referral program, were as, we had already done our closed water dives and theory exams in the U.K. so we had to do 4 open water dives in St. Lucia to complete our Open Water Scuba Diving course. I then went on to do another 2 dives with you. Your Diving School was faultless from the first time I contacted you from the U.K. to the last dive we did. Shirley was so calm and patient with us both as she finished our open water program with us. Your equipment looked new and in great condition your boat clean and tidy. Your pre dive briefs were very informative and safety was a great issue with you. I wanted to do the wreck dive so much but the current was to strong when we got to the wreck, so we went and did another dive first and went back to it 2 hours later when it was virtually a mill pond (amazing how the conditions can change so quickly) Your staff are a credit to you both Al Is a very knowledgeable and experienced diver and captain Theo was a great captain who gave some good advice to my Son as he experienced some sea sickness. Thanks again, I will certainly recommend you to my friends and customers, and will certainly be diving with you again if we come back to St. Lucia. Regards Roy & Craig P.S. Thanks for the C.D. with photos of the wreck dive we did.

Great Diving, Great Team and a Fantactic Location

My Wife, Daughter and I had the pleasure of being able to dive with Steve's team during the course of our holiday (18.07 - 01.08.2008). The diving was fantastic, catered for all abilities and all staff made it a real adventure. Captain Theo - "The Chairman" as he liked to let everyone know, handled the boat like the true professional that he is. Makes you all feel safe on the boat but can drive like its a roller coaster ride - adds to the fun. Tim - Great dive instructor, super guide and a good cook as he always told us he was up all night baking the bread and cakes for the snack between dives Al - Another great instructor and guide, does not breath underwater and can appear to sleep anywhere Steve - Great host "but comes from the midlands" Shirley - Great Dive instructor, looked after my daughter which is a hard task The dive sites were truley amazing, the quality of marine life astounding. Spotted Drum, Squid, Octopus, Sea Horse, Baracuda, Turtles and the list can go on an on. A new boat is on the way and will make diving easier and more comfortable but thats not to say there were any problems with what we did just that there will soon be two boats in the water. If you want great diving, a fun team and a relaxed atmospher, you need look no further than Steves operation, a well run professional outfit. A great experience - Thank you.

Best Dive all Week!

What a wonderful experience June 4, 2008 at Scuba Steve's Diving in St' Lucia! We were promptly met exiting the cruise ship to our destination under the Piton's. The crew was very accommodating! I dove while my wife snorkeled. Both enjoyable events in this gorgeous setting. We then left the water for lunch. Again... an AWESOME event! Finally Steve and Shirley drove us to the volcano. Nothing we could have purchased from the ship could compare with regard to comfort, convenience and price. Thanks so much Scuba Steve's!

All you need for great diving

I've just returned from two weeks in St Lucia, and completed 18 dives with Steve, including the Deep, Wreck and PPB specialities, plus a night dive and the "Dive and Drive" day trip. I was staying at Rendezvous, where diving is included in the price, but preferred to pay the extra to dive with Steve, and I'm very glad I did. Steve and his wife Shirley, instructors Tim and and Al, Captain Theo and Gavin are a fantastic team who really get on with each other and their guests, and literally go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible diving holiday in St Lucia. I can whole-heartedly recommend Steve and his team for their professionalism, hospitality, service and value. Best dives: Daini Koyomaru wreck, South Beach Anse Cochon and Anse Chastanet Wall.
