The prices here are reasonable for Italian food in Shanghai. For just over Y600 (about L40) we were served complimentary Bruscetta, Assorted Breads and Olive Oil whilst we considered the menu. We shared 2 appetisers, Insalato Misto and a Veal Carpaccio with Tuna Sauce, 2 mains Sea Bass Ravioli with with Prawns and Fresh (cherry) Tomato Sauce (tasty) and Osso Bucco with Saffron Risotto (very cheesy and too salty, but not much saffron flavour) plus a side order of Mixed Grilled Vegetables. Followed by 2 desserts, Pear Tart with Ice Cream and Tiramisu (yum yum). All washed down with a bottle of Riparosso Montepuluciano d'Abruzzo.
The flavours were gererally authentic, the service was mostly good (I could see a black pepper mill at the service point but none was offered our meals were served).
Unfortunately, as we made a late booking we were placed on a table in an area which strongly resembled a corridor, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere, ambiance etc. other than to say it seems like a popular place.
The Best Mushroom Soup I have ever had !!

While in Shanghai, We went to the De Marco restaurant in the Grand Gateway Mall. It is on the ground floor, easy to find, inside or outside seating.
I ordered the Mushroom Soup, and wanted the Fettuccini and Bacon, without the Bacon and with Shrimp. No problem. They both were wonderful.
We had the Tiramisu for dessert, and a nice wine. Have no complaints,
If you want a good meal at a decent price, this is the place. You will need resverations.
Another good place is Coolzeys...A tiny, tiny, homey, seating for about 10 downstairs and maybe 10 upstairs. Mostly a Sherpa take away and deliver place, it's wonderful for just sitting and relaxing, and enjoying their wonderful food, and desserts.
