I took the night tour toward the end of my trip and I highly reccomend this to anyone traveling to Paris! It was fall, so the boat ride (bateau mouche) was rather chilly. Overall, an excellent way to see major sights in Paris at night! The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, but don't overwhelm with information. When I return I will take a different tour with this company!
Great Fun

My husband and I were in Paris during the last week of September 2008. We did to activities with Fat Tire; the night-time Segway tour and the Versailles Bike Tour. The Segway tour was probably the most outright FUN thing we did in Paris. An earlier reviewer commented on how it's easy to say that Paris is beautiful, inspirational, and educational, but how many people say it's fun? Well, zipping around the city of lights at night on a segway is a scream. The segways are easy to use, even for a couple of klutzes like us, and we got so used to navigating the city on them that by the end of the tour we didn't want to give them back. Don't take this tour looking for a ton of information- our guide was knowledgeable and great to hang out with, but learning about Paris is not the point here. Go for the views and the shear novelty of the experience. It'll likely be the best 4 hours you spend in Paris. The Versailles tour was also fun, though unfortunately we chose a cold, rainy, windy day, so we shivered our way through it. I suspect that much of the allure of that trip was stolen by the weather. I can say, however, that the bikes are amazingly comfortable and riding around the Versailles property is really cool. Do not hesitate to take any of the Fat Bike tours- they're a great company and you'll have a great time.

We just returned from two weeks in London and Paris. Because this was our first time in France, we were eager to travel to Normandy and see the D Day Beaches.
We are very grateful we decided to go with the Fat Bike Tour Group. Not only were they most helpful and gracious in helping us find navigate via the train, when we needed to contact them while en-route due to train changes, they couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, allowing us peace of mind throughout the day.

We went on the night tour, safety was a major part of the tour. Lights were on the bikes (although some ran out of batteries) everyone had reflective jackets, no one went through red lights and the guide kept stressing that it was a definate no, and the group waited for anyone who got caught by a light.
Some hard riding for the boat, but overall a great informative time with a great guide()fab ice cream.
wish we'd had time for the day trip as well.
Great Idea for quick Paris orientation

Did this trip early July, and had a really great experiance. The guide was actually from Texas, so language was no probelm, and he was most knowledable regarding teh sites we went to. Just using the Segway was a riot. My group ranged from 16 to 60 (me) and only one had a bit of a "control" issue, but that was overcome pretty quickly. Most of thr ride was on sidewalks/plazas, but some was on small streets.
A really good way to get you bearings in the City, as some of the sites and then decide where to concentrate your trips later. Some very good tips reagarding access to certain trips.
