I went to visit Steve's bar on September 4th, 2008 at around 6 p.m. or so & there wasn't that many people there at the time but the ambiance was "there".......Loved it !!......... Service was #1 & I noticed that they sell T-shirts but NO polo shirts like the waitresses........I recommended to the girl that her boss should look into selling those as they are quite nice & they would be a nice souvenir for us "travellers".......I hope to go back in 2009 & pick one up..........lol I was hoping to "meet & greet" some of the T.A. experts to thank them for all their good advice & recommendations but again no luck....maybe next time..... I took some deck of cards, crib board, bar rags, plenty of notepads to "exchange" email addresses (when people meet) etc. I am not a beer drinker but I sucked back a few as it was nice & cold........... If you are staying at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana, you'll find Steve's Corner Bar at the very end of the driveway.........about a 5 minute walk or so......go go go & enjoy!!

The people only go to this bar: 1) Meet friends to have a beer before going to the better places. 2) Pick up a hooker. 3) Your out of money and need cheap booze. It's located in a corner of Plaza Bavaro at the enytrance to Mangu nightclub wirh a lot of cars passing by. Low quality, dirt, cheesy but cheap. With all the hookers that wants to pick you up, you can have a good laugh...

If you have a chance you must visit Steve's Corner bar for the coldest beer and the best sausage dogs anywhere in the world!!!

Steve's is at least 4 days a week my stop for a cold one and a sausage(of course Curry) on my way throu the Punta Cana area. there's no better place to meet people from all nationalities mixed up with the locals.

Just a great fun time (at the local Corner Bar) while in Paradise. The service , prices, the welcome feeling we received was GREAT!!! Cold Cold Beer for the U.S. guys and a separate cooler for our Friends for the other West Coast ,Europe served at their particular temperature---but not only Cold Beer--the Food--Particular the Sausages with fresh bread (hogie type buns for us U.S.ens) and a special tomato type saulsa and boy was it good...Think my son had 3 or 4 by himself -- So if your going shopping in the Bavaro Area---try Steve's its a great time--oh by the way did I mention that Steve is an actual live person and he actually was there!! Great conversation and fun time had by all...ADMF
