All I can say is AWESOME! We decided to do the 3-tank "safari" with Ocean Frontiers and we got a great variety. Reservations was easy and as relatively new divers, all our questions and concerns (about diving to 100ft) were answered. The staff aboard Ocean Hawk (Neal, Britta and Kaz) were tremendous and really looked after us, giving us options of following at shallower depths though we did end up doing the deep dive! We started out at 8am and toured the Babylon pinnacle, then off to Stingray Sandbar where we got to play with the ever graceful rays at a depth of 12ft. After lunch at Kaibo, we set off for our last dive of the day at Snapper Hole. All-in-all, it was a wonderful experience!
Good times with Ocean Frontiers

I dove with Ocean Frontiers in April 2006, and these are my general impressions:
If Ocean Frontiers is not the best dive operation on the island, then I'd like to see what is. Between the friendly, knowledgeable staff, great dive site selection (they go to great sites that no other dive operation does), and well equipped boats, they are a first rate dive op. Dive briefings are thorough, but never boring. The DMs are great at spotting those elusive critters for photographers. Everyone on staff was very friendly, perfectly willing to answer questions and swap fish stories about the big one they almost got on film.
Diving out in the open ocean of the East End is pretty exciting. The seas were a little choppy during part of my stay, but it was definitely worth it. The wall on the East End are STEEP, the swim-through's and canyons are a rush, and the fish are BIG ( imagine a black grouper the size of a refrigerator accompanied by his 6 ft. green moray hunting buddy). Other sightings during the week I was there included a nurse shark's tail sticking out of a hole in the reef, a Caribbean reef shark in the distance, and a small moray eel (unsuccessfully) attacking a lobster, a jawfish, and an adult jackknife fish (or spotted drum, I could never tell those two apart).
My only complaint is that one of their boats had a smoky engine. After getting home I decided to send them an e-mail regarding that problem, only to find out that it had already been addressed.
I would fully recommend Ocean Frontiers to any diver of any experience level from the seasoned veteran to fresh out of certification (like I was) to not even certified. Simply put, if you dive with Ocean Frontiers, you will have a great time.
Best dive op on the island

This is the second year that I stayed at compass point and dove with Ocean Frontiers and it was just as great as the first year.
While doing a one-day trip with them is great, doing multiple days is even better because you get more of the pampered, spa-like treatment. The staff are incredibly knowledgable on the dive sites and they work their butts off for you. I have no idea how I'll make it at other dive ops now that I know "the good life."
You get there in the morning and your gear is on the boat and all you have to do is analyze your tanks (if diving nitrox) and put your wetsuit on. At the end of the dive day, put your stuff in a basket and walk off the boat (they will take the basket). So relaxing it's not even funny.
I like staying at compass point because I only have to get up, walk to the boat, and dive. The condos are well-kept, furnished well, pretty new, and comfy for a nice, relaxing dive trip. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
Did I mention how great the staff are?
I will be back there, of course.

We just dove with Ocean Frontiers for three days in March 2007. They were outstanding in every way. Can't imagine there being a better dive shop. I recommend booking ahead with them, as they seem to fill up quickly.
Great Cayman East End Diving & Service!!!

We just returned from a wonderful week in Grand Cayman (14-21 Jan 07). Three days were spent diving with Ocean Frontiers and they were the highlight of our stay! The service and care were first rate; TJ got us up to speed with a refresher (I hadn't dived in 21 yrs)and we dove Sunset Reef, The Maze, Little House, Schoolhouse Wall and Grouper Grotto (favorite). The staff was top notch, friendly, accomodating and just plain fun to be around. They even picked us up and dropped us off each day. The sights were fantastic including, reef sharks, stingrays, barracuda, a sea turtle, tarpon galore and too many more reef fish to list. These dive sights are very close to Ocean Frontiers main base at Compass Point , East End of Grand Cayman. Thanks to Leslie, TJ, Brita, Brett and everyone else for a very memorable time!! You're the best. :)
