The Best Day of Our Vacation!
Reviewed by A TripAdvisor Member on Oct 15, 2008

I found this jet ski excursion here on trip advisor. Great reviews here and on cruise critic, so decided to give it a try. What an absolute blast. We were picked up at the Hard Rock Cafe as planned and on time. Peter was very professional. My husband and I were joined by another family. There were a total of 4 jet ski's. They were in great shape and very very powerful. Stingray City was awesome. We pulled up away from the mass of tour boats and had an area all to ourselves. Peter was very helpful. We then went to snorkel followed by a stop a secluded beach bar. I found my new favorite drink!!! The Cayman Lemonade. Yum, Yum. Our tour was scheduled for about 2 1/2 hours I think. By this point 3 hours had passed. As we didn't have to be back on the boat for a while, Peter took us on a tour of the island and the Island Brewery. Well, what an experience that was. Loads of fun. So definately worth it!!!

Best part of the Cruise

Me and my wife were on our honeymoon on the Carnival Inspiration and we decided to book our tours privately rather than book the crouded and vastly overpriced tours offered through the cruise line. I found this tour and after reading just a couple of reviews I was SOLD. It was awesome to get the personal experience. It was my wife and I, Peter, and a couple from New Zealand. We went to Stingray City where he knew all the rays by name and could give you their lives story! Then we went to the reefs and did some snorkeling which was a lot of fun. after that on our way back to his dock, we stopped at a place called Kaibo. It is a locals bar that is off the beaten path and not many tourist visit. We sat there and enjoyed a cold on and talked for a few minutes before going back. If you want to see the Stingrays and snorkel this trip is a MUST! He has 4 seadoo's so at most you will have 4-6 other people with you(if your a group of 2). You get great personal experience and it is second to none! By far the best value and was the highlight of our trip! Peter, thank you so much for a great time! you have a great operation! keep up the good work! Robert & Sheena Worley Huntsville, AL

Fat Fish Adventures = A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ My friends and I just came back from GC. It was our first time in the island, so we booked different activities with different companies. Fortunately, we randomly booked a jet sky trip to Stingray City with Fat Fish Adventures, they were the best company, outstanding, indeed. They are very professional, their material is in perfect conditions, and Peter is the best guide we've met in the island!! His love for the sea and its animals, his friendly character... we loved every single thing. We didn't feel like ripped-off tourist (or cattle), we felt part of Grand Cayman, part of nature! Peter really made our vacation extraordinary! We have decided to come back to Cayman on our next break, and this time, we have booked a whole package with Fat Fish Adventures, with Peter, of course!! We will go on a boat trip, deep sea fishing, snorkeling to see the corals, Deep Stingray City with the jet sky, night fishing, and, if we are successful fishers, we might also have a lobster dinner!! We are all looking forward to it!! Fat Fish Adventures, keep up the good work!!

While booking excursions for our Carnival Cruise, we decided to look outside the box and search online at some other tours to do at Grand Cayman. After reading other fantastic reviews about Fatfish Adventures, we booked a Seadoo, snorkeling and Stingray City tour at a very reasonable $175 for 2 people. We only had one other couple with the tour. Our Guide was Peter Jervis and he was PHENOMENAL! He is extremely knowledgeable about the islands, the ocean and of course, the stingrays. He was entertaining and funny as well. The SeaDoos we rode were in tip top shape. First we rode the SeaDoos out to a BEAUTIFUL snorkeling spot. After that, we rode to StingRay City. We were so lucky to have Peter take us there. The other tour groups were ALL packed into a roped off area of Stingray City. We tied up the Sea Doos a bit away and in just seconds, we were surrounded by amazing, graceful stingrays. The animals know Peter and he knows them. We got to feed and hold them, and when we finally had to leave, a huge female stingray gave Peter a Goodbye Kiss. Can't wait to go back! Booking a tour with anyone else is not an option.

"Bucket List Jet Ski Tour" but better ...

If you are looking for a First Class experience unlike any other then you must take this tour. Especially, if you are interested in a personal experience and NOT a Cattle Car Tour. After reading all the reviews on this tour I decided to book with my daughter 8 and myself. Emailed from the website and spoke with Peter's wife to book. Truly a FIRST CLASS Experience!! Peter called the night before to confirm. On 9/12/08, Peter picked us up at the Hotel about 9am. Drove to shop to get water & fish food then off to the boat ramp. It was the first time to the Island and first time for my daughter to be on a jet ski. Peter made us both feel very comfortable. Throughout the tour he was great to warn me of the water conditions to expect at each corner. We drove to inlet --almost like calm lake area where we openned up the skis and joked about how fast each could go. Then a trip through the groves and towards stingray city. It was a beautiful day! On the way we could see the large starfish just under the water. Peter stopped, picking one up for my daughter to examine. Then off to Stingray city. It was early and no other visitors were there. None showed up till we were leaving. While we were there My daughter was a little to afraid to get off the ski. Peter did amuze her with all the information on each ray that came by. He knew most by name. Peter was great to only pick up the rays that did not have a tail to show us per we were alittle nerious, coming from the desert we were not used to having fish all around. {eter showed us both male and female and showed us how each feels different. The rays were just like dogs all anixous to get our attention. Suzy the largest female swam right up on me just like a dog who jumps on you when you come home ( I included her picture). Then we went to a reef near rum point to snorkle. Peter brings his own anchor not like other island jet tours like red sail where they take you to town where they can hook up to another boats morring. It was truly amazing to swim with all the fish while on a Fat Fish Tour. Such beautiful colors -- later in my trip I did go snorkling again but it did not compare to this experience. Peter would hunt out really cool sea life to see & point it out to me. He also was careful to make note the fish or coral to beware of . (ie fire coral or stone fish). Peter pointed out where to find the largest lobster on the planet I am sure of. Next we when to Kaibo a great local beachside restaurant for Lunch. Reasonable prices for that of this island. Such a pleasant atmosphere. It was such a leisure day that time just escaped by. For the two of us sharing the jet ski we paid $175 though with the service we received you should expect to pay more. Especially since Peter endured fish bits, stepping on sea urchin, and some other unpleasantrees to make our experience the best. He was even a really good sport when I beached the jet ski due to lower than normal waters. After the tour he brought us back to his home to meet the family and show us the wildlife just out his back door. He is truly blessed to have such a lovely family. Just out is back door, just 4 feet away is the mangroves. He has a ton of turtles out there. He fed the turtle frozen fish and even got my daughter to feed them. Mind you she very afraid of all things. He also showed us iguanan that were larger than any found at the turtle farm on the island. We ended the tour with a scenic informative ride back to the hotel arriving just before 4 pm. Again all for just $175. Goes to show how much Peter loves his job. I am soooo glad we found this tour on tripadvisor and that we went at low season. Thank you Tripadvisor for proving this great service@@
