You have a nice view on the cathedral from the "Groenplaats" and the "Main Square". The constructions started during the 16th century and the city continued working on it. Inside you find a choir from the year 1415 and several paintings from Peter Paul Rubens. Among these are the two famous triptych paintings: "The Raising of the Cross" and "The Descent of the Cross". It is a pity you have to pay 5 euro entrance, but it is worth it. The cathedral is very beautiful and the paintings are priceless.

most beautiful tower in the world :)

a must see for any visit to Antwerpen (or Belgium for that matter).
Unique on the outside, it took 100 years to build, and I haven't seen any tower that can match the gothic beauty of the cathedral of Antwerp.
Also worth to visit inside, especially the 2 famous rubens paintings
Not the most beautiful, but huge

This is the largest cathedral in Belgium, absolutely impossible to photograph in one shot from the outside. Inside, it is a gems of immensity, with its various altars and stained glass. You do have to pay 4 euros to get in, but it's worth it.
