Passions Aruba....

We were in Aruba for our honeymoon and read some reviews about Passions so wanted to visit...we had a fantastic evening. The setting is beautiful and romantic, the food, service and live music was excellent too. We had a wonferful evening.

My wife and I recently returned from Aruba. Our favorite meal was our last night when we went to Passions on the beach at the Amsterdam Manor hotel. The setting was fabulous, right on the sand, looking at the sunsert, which was great that night. The service was very friendly, and not at all rushed. Some places make you feel like they want you to leave so they can turn over the table, but here we felt like we could stay all night, and we even had an extra bottle of wine, because we knew nowhere else on the island would be better than where we were. We also ate at the new Old Man and the Sea while there, which was very good also, but Passions wins due to the setting & location close to the other hotels. The price was also very reasonable for what we got. The crab salad is great, and we both had shrimp, each a different way, and both very good.

Dined here twice on our most recent trip - once with friends and once with my husband. Food and service could not have been any better - add that to the incredible atmosphere of watching the sunset and being only a few steps away from the water...perfect! The shrimp entrees were all wonderful - be sure to let them know how spicy (or not spicy) you would like the Hot Shrimps and they will adjust accordingly. Also not to be missed are the watermelon salad and crab salad - both were great! Unfortunately, we didn't have any room for dessert. :( And Diana gives new meaning to service with a smile - she will do anything in her power to make sure you have a wonderful evening!

I will make this short and sweet - because I could write a book. We went to Passions in Sept, 2008 to celebrate our wedding. It was amazing. From when we were seated and she had notes that we had just got married (I had noted it on our reservation) to the fact that she took photos of us it was already a great experience. We got a front row to the ocean view - feet in sand, tiki torch for each table, a band playing romantic music ... it was simply outstanding. Great service, great food, great hostess and staff all around. I can't wait to go back again!!!!! Thank you for making it a special time for us.
