Great fun

I would have no hesitation in recommending this attraction. The young staff are exceptionally friendly and the whole thing is remarkably safe - at no time on the zip lines tour are you not securely clipped to either the zip lines or a safety cable. The zip lines themselves comprise two parallel (over and under) cables and you are safely connected to both. After a couple of short lines the first long line returns to the "base" building, so anyone who really isn't enjoying it can leave at that point. After the zip lines there is, at extra cost, an optional assault course type feature (rope bridges etc), or you can return to the reception area. Note that the walk back to the reception from the end of the zip lines involved a long of climbing and, in the heat, this can be quite tiring.

Canopy Tour is for Young and Old!

We did not know what to expect...rangers were most helpful from 'suiting up' and the explanation of how to use the equipment, etc. The explanation was quite fast and, not knowing what to expect, we were a bit anxious that maybe there was more we should know....not so! The rangers at each tree top knew their stuff, were swift to assist and we felt comfortable. There was just one tree top post where the ranger was totally pre-occupied with her rock tunes on her radio....My husband is a fairly young 66 and I am 57...we appeared to be the oldest on our tour but we could handle all the zip lining...the biggest surprise was the decent to the ground at the last zip line and then the more than 100 wooden steps straight up to the tour start hut!! If you cannot do stairs or have any breathing issues, this is the hardrest part!. We heard and saw no animals or birds.Your cameras are taken from you due to distractions they will cause during the zip line tour. I can see why! We have been back from our cruise 3 weeks and are still waiting for our photos to appear on line...but we thoroughly enjoyed it! I recommend it highly.

Wow!! Talk about a zip!!

I took the 4 ladies I was with on Antigua to the Antigua Rainforest and Canopy tour for the zip line experience. We wound up doing both the zip line experience and also the challenge course. The guides (rangers) there are absolutely fabulous! They are very friendly, courteous and most importantly practice safety in everything they do. The zip line adventure consisted of 9 zip trips (after 2 practice zips). The longest was about 400' over a canyon about 350' high. The zip lines are constructed extremely well and take into account every aspect of safety. For this reason we were able to completely enjoy the zips. One lady in our party, who is almost 70, had a hard time with the landings. One of the rangers helped her for the rest of the trip. It was a very nice touch and very much appreciated. I can't recommend this experience enough - an absolute must do if you go to Antigua and want a total adrenaline rush. The rope challenge course was OK. It was actually kind of a downer after all the adrenaline of the zips. It isn't too hard but also isn't all that much fun. I would skip it if I went back. Overall the staff is great and the experience is fantastic!!

A must place to visit in Antigua

Hi all, i went on this trip and can recommend it to all, absolutely fanastatic and a once in a lifetime experience. All the staff are great and they make sure your fully kitted up before you go anywhere. My girlfriend was a bit nervous on the first 2 zip lines but after the initial nerves she loved it. There were a group of kids with there parents in front of us and one even had a broken arm so i guess anybody can do it if a 10 year old can. If you end up on easycruise as we did then you can book the trip there. Otherwise a map is on there website [--] I have also added a short video on my profile so you can see what it's like. ps. don't forget to take your camera for short movies.
