Great Tour

We were recently in Italy for the first time. We spent 2+ weeks and had a fantastic time, topped off with an Angel Vatican Tour. This was the only guided tour we booked; previous locations we used the audio guides. They were uninformative and boring, not bringing any 'life' to the material. By contrast our Angel Tour guide was enthusiastic and connected to the group and the material. All questions were explained in perfect depth, delving deeper and deeper until the question had been answered completely to the persons satisfaction. He had interesting anecdotes that were based on the questions and how our individual tour progressed rather than canned remarks at designated stopping points. I am not much of a 'Guided Tour' guy, but really enjoyed the information and history provided by Angel Tours.

Jimmy our Angel tour Guide to the Vatican was a great story teller. I totaly felt like I got a lot out of our tour with him. Enough that when I go back I would like to get a private tour to learn more! This was our first time so it was a fabulous introduction. My children (4,8) were also captivated by his story telling ability so that made my day at the Vatican even more enjoyable! Happy Kids=happy mom! We also did the Heart of Rome tour and found it helpful but uninspiring. (Different guide)

We were very happy we booked with Angel Tours. I had read reviews of it on Trip Advisor and booked both the Colosseum and Vatican tours. Catherine was the perfect guide. Her combination of knowledge and wit suited our group to a tee. Our groups were small ; (10) people at the most. We loved her Colosseum tour so much that we made sure we were in her Vatican group the very next day. I thought the price for the tour was extremely reasonable. (Just a reminder to anyone who books that the guides are mainly students...don't forget to tip them!)

Tours in Rome with Angel Tours

We have just returned home after a wonderful vacation in Italy. Started off in Rome on Sept. 11/08. Booked transportation from the airport to our hotel and again from the hotel to the port of Civitavecchia with romecabs.com. They were fabulous! Would highly recommend. Spent 2 !/2 days in Rome before boarding a cruise ship. During that time went on three tours with angeltours.rome.com: the heart of Rome tour, Vatican tour, and Colosseum tour. All were excellent; and well worth the money. Thanks to both Steve and Kenneth, our tour guides. Would highly recommend Angel tours. What appealed to us also was the fact that you could book online and not pay until you arrived for the tour. Same goes for the transportation. They were both very prompt in e-mailing back with tour and transportation information too. It's great when everything goes as planned. Helped to make a very memorable vacation.

have recently returned from a trip to europe and had booked a tour of the vatican with Angel Tours - based on the reviews i had read on this site. My daughter & i were not disappointed! the meeting point was easy to find, and the tour guide (Steve) was very friendly and knowledgable. the group was small so easy to hear everything without resorting to those nasty 'ears' that so many larger groups rely on. My daughter and I were so impressed that we booked a tour of the colosseum & roman forum with Angel Tours - and again were not disappointed! They also have a free tour of the Pantheon each evening - we also went along to that but unfortunately it was on a sunday evening and the Pantheon closes early so we couldn't go inside. i recommend Angel Tours and would definitely book with them again if travelling to that part of the world - however if you want to tour the Pantheon don't go on the Sunday night tour!!
