This place is lame

Well I just returned from an 8 day trip to PR. I am a food and wine junkie and so of course, I was very excited to try this place out. Now, I must say I am spoiled by having some of the best restaurants in the country. Living in Atlanta places my standards of what food, service, atmosphere should be. If this is the best San Juan has to offer, then I feel bad for everyone who visits. Of course, I found out that this is not the best at all. As far as the restaurant, it is on the bottom floor of a Marriott hotel. Restaurant is extremely bland regarding dacor, and is quiet and stuffy. Now I enjoy nice evenings out where it is quiet and service is attentive. However, If I am going to pay the prices these people wanted, I want more atmosphere, and a nicer welcome to their restaurant. English is broken, waiters don't say much, and food is nothing to write home about. I had the salmon, which was good. Wife had the duck, which was also good. Was it worth $114 for two entrees, two glasses of wine, and one gin and tonic? Not even close. My Pinot Noir came out in this small glass, to which of course I asked for a Burgundy, or Pinot glass so the wine would taste good. Wife's gin was all tonic. This was sent back as well. Wine list is superb, but get ready to pay the bucks. Nothing under $60, and those bottles were only average. Could not justify being ripped like that. Would I go back?? No way.

Best service I've ever received in a restaurant

Speechless - AMAZING service and cuisine. Definitely worth the $$$$.

A gem, our place, off Condado

Four plus (out of five; 5 being world beaters) quiet room with food creations of the first order and superb service. Deep wine list, favoring California and the Continent. Happy, attentive, knowlegable wait staff. Out of the way off Condado. "It's our place," ambience. Reference: Dining around the world, including the Carribean USVI and Puerto Rico. Try it!
